zplane releases TONIC with Tuning Offset

Berlin, Germany January 19, 2023: zplane.development (https://www.zplane.de) just released an update to the TONIC key detection plug-in which provides additional information to help retune sample and synthesizers, and also fixes a bug in FL Studio.

Since its first release, TONIC has not only detected the key of a song, but it has also shown you if the tuning of that song isn’t exactly at the standard A=440Hz tuning. It would show the actual tuning of the song expressed in Hz which would help retune some synthesizers that express their tuning in Hz. The new 1.2.0 version of TONIC now also shows that tuning offset in cents as many synthesizers and sampler only allow detuning of samples and oscillators in cents. By analyzing the sound with TONIC 1.2.0, you can now see exactly how much you need to detune your synth or sampler to make the tunings match.

There was a bug in the previous version of TONIC where the plug-in would load up in FL Studio with its audio routing disable, thus preventing the plug-in from working without manually-enabling the routing each time. That issue has now been fixed in version 1.2.0.

Lastly, TONIC is fully Intel- and Apple Silicon-compatible in AU, VST3, and now AAX formats for use in Pro Tools on Apple Silicon-equipped Macs.
