vielklang 2.5 update
vielklang gets Windows 11 and native Apple Silicon support
vielklang was zplane’s first product, originally released back in 2008 – and as such the foundation for everything else that was to follow. The new version has been a long time in the making – finally adding the eagerly awaited native Apple Silicon support, amongst other improvements.
We felt we owe this significant “refresh” to our longtime vielklang users and a lot of effort went into creating it. But during development we unfortunately also had to realize that the time has come to discontinue the product after this release.
Features include Apple Silicon and Windows 11 support, improved overall performance, better undo/redo behaviour during playback and new file relocation on project reload. We’ve also fixed issues with MIDI File export and the Snapshot mode.
Version 2.5 brings vielklang up-to-date, and zplane will support the product for the remainder of 2024. At this time we can’t make any promises on a future product along the lines of vielklang, but would welcome user feedback.
